Packed with our fat bikes and hiking gear, we set off on a Friday morning and headed up to Sterkfonteen Dam at the Top of Olivier’s Hoek Pass above Bergville.We had a leisurely breakfast at Fatzos Diner at the top of the pass with the other half of the family from Joburg where discussed the next leg of the adventure - Bezuidenhout’s Pass and the Piet Retief Monument on the way back down.
