When South Africa officially went on lock down in March 2020, my whole world turned upside down. I was planning my wedding at the Zimbali Fairmont Hotel, one of the most beautiful wedding venues, on the 25th of May. Obviously, that was now on hold. Not only did my fiancé and I now have to postpone our dream wedding, but we also had to reassess our lives. He was living in the Middle East, and we were supposed to see each other every 2-3 months.
