A concept worth understanding:
We only have one planet. We as humans can only survive on this planet that we live on. We have created mass distraction and we are the reason that we have climate change so it is our job to fix that. After you make a mess you should clean it up to the best of your ability. It is our planet to keep safe and our planet to live on.
A place worth visiting:
Ushaka Marine World is a must. They have the most incredible rehabilitated turtles in their exhibits who have been given a 2nd chance at life. Going to Ushaka has really opened my eyes to the world of rehabilitation and its powers.
An activity worth doing:
A beach clean-up is definitely an activity that is worth doing. Doing beach clean-ups really help me to understand the immense amount of plastic there really is.
A movie worth watching:
David Attenborough: Life on our planet. This is a documentary by one of my role models and someone that I have looked up to my whole life. He has seen a massive change in our planet’s wildlife and biodiversity just in his lifetime.
A quote worth repeating
Follow your passion. It will lead you to your purpose - Oprah Winfrey. This quote was the reason that I started my swim. I have a passion for the ocean and its inhabitants. So follow your passion because it will lead you to your purpose and doing what you love.

Local is very lekker this week with this incredible album by South African Shane Cooper & MABUTA. Fresh, innovative and infinitely interesting, this power collab is showing us a sonic future rooted firmly in our home.
A dazzling novel by heavyweight author Donna Tartt, “The Goldfinch” follows the story of Theodore Decker, who, as a child, survives a terrorist bombing at an art museum where his mother is killed. In the confusion, he takes a painting, an act which will determine the course of his life. Combining unforgettably vivid characters and thrilling suspense, it is a beautiful, addictive triumph - a sweeping story of loss and obsession, of survival and self-invention, of the deepest mysteries of love, identity and fate.
